farnesol
A sesquiterpene used as a flavouring agent (food additive) found in bitter orange, ginger, jasmine, hops, beets and juniper. Additionally, Farnesol is a natural pesticide for mites, as it is a component in the chemicals the female uses to attract the males, and when combined with Nerolidol confuses the males and interrupts the mating cycle.
