- ecological footprint
- The calculation of the amount of natural resources required by an individual or group of individuals (plants, animals, nations) to sustain itself in the manner in which it is currently accustomed to existing. It refers to the amount of water, minerals, and plant matter used by that entity. It is often measured in acres when discussing people.
